Project Description

South Park Church is a traditionally designed Georgian Colonial styled building, nestled in a residential neighborhood of Park Ridge. Multiple addition's and renovations throughout the church’s history resulted in a facility that lacked a main entrance, efficient circulation, and lobby space. The design solution removed a portion of the existing facility and replaced it with an infill addition highlighted with a colonnaded entry. The infill addition acts as a conduit, linking the sanctuary to the Christian education wing. It simplifies the circulation paths, creates a large open lobby/gathering area, and provides improved accessibility routes.
